Scott Andrew Fernes, age 66, of Downingtown, PA and formerly of Lansdale, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026.  He was the beloved husband of Laurie (Ross) Fernes, his wife of 39 years.

Born December 9, 1959 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Warren and Theresa June (Carey) Fernes.

Scott was a 1978 graduate of Cheltenham High School, where he wrestled and earned a scholarship to West Chester University. His lifelong love of the beach and boating shaped many of his early jobs, including working as a lifeguard, serving as a first mate, and eventually earning his captain's license. He and his brother, Carey, started one of the first parasailing businesses at the Jersey shore, a memory he cherished throughout his life.

He later transferred to Temple University, where he received his BBA and met the love of his life, Laurie. They married in 1986 and settled in Lansdale, where they raised their family while Scott built a successful career as a medical supply sales representative.

Scott found joy in planning family trips, organizing fun outings with friends, and creating experiences for everyone to have a good time, earning him the nickname "Fun Scottie". He especially enjoyed tennis, kayaking, biking, boating, snow and water skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, vacationing, and relaxing on the beach with the newspaper and good music. He stayed active so he could indulge in his other great love: ice cream.

Scott was a deeply loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was blessed to have him, his humor, and the countless memories he helped create. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kelly (Stephen) and Kevin (Mary Kate); granddaughters, Christiana and Tiffany; his brother, Carey (Peggy); brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Jessica, Ellen, Frank, and Lisa; and his many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Warren; and dear nephew, Ryan.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation after 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at Christ United Methodist Church, 1020 S.
