It is with deep sadness and profound grief to announce the passing of Scott Miles Simmers,66,of Hatfield, PA on September 1st, at home with his devoted wife by his side after a short battle with cancer.
Born on August 24th,1960 in Bethlehem, PA to Nancy Ann Haas and Richard Graham Simmers. Scott grew up with a strong work ethic and a heart of gold. He attended Perkiomen High School from 1977-1979 before going to Maryland State College to study Philosophy. While there he found his calling with Old Castle Precast. There he found not only a career but a second family for the last 28+years.
In 2009 Scott met his soulmate, Barbara. They were married in 2015 at the iconic Trolley Stop Deli in Hatfield where they lived. They spent their entire 16 years together building a home filled with love, laughter and devotion to each other.
Scott was a man of many passions besides his wife and job. Whether he was riding his Harley, driving his truck, reading a good book, enjoying a quiet night with his wife, he always had fun and lived each day to the fullest. He spread kindness and love wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife of 11yrs, Barbara Simmers, his step children, Kristi LeGore-Dooley and John Altmann, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday September 12th,2026 at 10:00a.m. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home,701 Derstine Ave, Lansdale, Pa 19446 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 a.m.
