Shirley B. Michel

Shirley B. Michel, 84, of Harleysville and formerly of North Wales, died Saturday, December 13, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Michel, who died December 28, 2010.

Born March 2, 1941 in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Alice (Hoff) Brown.

Mrs. Michel was a longtime member of the former St. Luke's UCC, North Wales.  A skilled pianist, Shirley worked as a music teacher at a number of local school districts, including Allentown, Souderton, and Philadelphia, as well as working as an organist for several local churches.  While she enjoyed being a part of many touring vocal groups through the years, her love of music only slightly took precedence over her attachment to her beloved Samoyed dogs.  Shirley was also very proud of her college degree from Lebanon Valley College.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Michel, for whom she was a devoted caregiver; and sister, Marjorie Guziewicz.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
