Shirley H. Weigner

Shirley H. Weigner, 91, of Lansdale, died Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Born August 29, 1933 in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Mildred (Heebner) Weigner.

Shirley was a longtime member of Central Schwenkfelder Church, Worcester.  She was employed in the dental office of Dr. George C. Sands, Lansdale, for 37 years until his retirement in 1988.  She then worked as a secretary at Rohm and Haas for ten years until her retirement.

Shirley enjoyed traveling the world, including Europe and Alaska, and vacationing at the Jersey Shore.  She was an avid dog lover, especially Boston Terriers, and will be remembered as a kind person who was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her sister, Betty Jane Weigner of Oro Valley, AZ; her niece and nephews, John W. Weigner II (Concetta) of Lansdale, Peggy Jo McDermott (Eugene) of Livermore, CA, and Michael J. Weigner (Laurie) of Tampa, FL; five great-nieces and nephews, John W. Weigner III (Megan) of Harleysville, Sean McDemott (Ilona) of California, Kelly McDermott of California, Gabriella Weigner of Tampa, FL, and Alexa Weigner also of Tampa; and two great-great-nieces and nephews, Kayla Weigner and Tyler McDermott.

She was preceded in death by her brother, J. Willard Weigner.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be private in Towamencin Schwenkfelder Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Shirley's memory to Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446 or to Dock Woods Community, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, PA 19446.
