Sze Man Yau

Sze Man Yau ("Sze Tatiana"), 58, of Ambler, died Monday, February 16, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of James S. Thompson.

Born September 25, 1967 in Hong Kong, she was the daughter of Dr. Kin Lui Yau and Wai Man Lo, of Flanders, NJ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Elena D. Thompson; two sisters, TzeNga Leung (Steve) of Hillsborough, NJ, and Tze Yuen Yau of Basking Ridge, NJ; and five nieces and nephews.

Sze Man attended the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University and was subsequently employed as a career pharmacist with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia ("CHOP") for many years.  She was a member of St. Philip Orthodox Church, Souderton.

Known for her infectious smile, Sze Man had a passionate faith and supported many church-related volunteer events and activities. She also had many interests, including tending to her vegetable garden, playing the piano, riding her bicycle, sewing, traveling with her family, and taking long walks around Ambler with her husband and daughter. She also loved animals, in particular her pet cats Mosey, Ollie, Nichy, Opie, and Otto.

A viewing will be held after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at St. Philip Orthodox Church, 1970 Clearview Road, Souderton, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Sze Man's memory to the International Orthodox Christian Charities, 110 West Road, Suite 360, Baltimore, MD 21204 or online at www.iocc.org .
