Theodore S. Valentine

November 12, 1939 — January 7, 2026

Theodore Stinard "Ted" Valentine, 87, of Newton, NJ, and formerly of Perkasie, PA, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Olander) Valentine for 35 years.

Born November 12, 1939, in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of the late Daniel and Alta (Stinard) Valentine.

Upon graduating from high school, Ted proudly joined the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Cadmus (AR-14). After being honorably discharged, he applied his training and love of "all things mechanical" to a long career in the Tool & Die industry.

Ted's mechanical skills extended well beyond his profession. He enjoyed working on automobiles, remodeling multiple homes, and fixing just about anything that was broken. Ted and Jennifer loved taking road trips and exploring the country, particularly the coast of New England. Ted's happiest times were spent at home, enjoying good food and drink in the company of his family, friends, and beloved cats.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bruce Valentine of Schwenksville, PA; Donna Valentine of Souderton, PA; and Scott Valentine (Josephine) of Philadelphia, from his marriage to the late Janice Cangelosi Hammond; five grandchildren, Russell, Collin, Lauren, Melissa, and Jessica; and eight great-grandchildren. Ted is also survived by his brother, James W. Valentine (Cassandra) of Perkasie, PA, and brothers-in-law Thomas, Robert, and Edward Olander.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Valentine; his brother, Daniel D. Valentine, Jr. (Diana); and his brother-in-law, Peter Olander.

Relatives and friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Ted's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
