Thomas D. Blackwell, Iii

Thomas D. Blackwell, III, of Hatfield, PA passed away suddenly on February 21, 2018 at his home. Born September 16, 1976 in Lansdale, PA he was the son of Thomas D. and Christine (nee Maslowski) Blackwell, Jr., of Hatfield.

Thomas was a 1995 graduate of North Penn High School who then went on to obtain his Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia University, and his Master's Degree from West Chester State University. He had been a school teacher for many years who previously taught at North Penn High School, Interboro High School, and William Tennent High School, where he also coached baseball and football, and he was also a PIAA Basketball Official for many years as well. Tom was a huge supporter of all of the West Virginia University athletic programs, and " a Mountaineer for life". He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, and a dedicated coach and mentor to many young athletes and students.

He is also survived by his sister, Melissa Landers (Dean), of Lansdale, his nephew, Tyler Landers, his niece, Cara Landers, and his maternal grandmother, Catherine Blackwell, of Hellertown.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00-3:30 PM at Christ Covenent Church, 2200 Mainland Road, Harleysville, PA 19438 where his Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM. Tom's family has respectfully requested that all those attending kindly wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to Christ Covenent Church in care of the above address.
