Thomas J. Capper Iii

Thomas J. Capper III, 85, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Boesch) Capper, his wife of 62 years.

Born May 29, 1939 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Margaret (Crawford) and Thomas J. Capper, Jr.

Mr. Capper began his career with Merck in 1959, retiring in 1995.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and his hobbies included fishing, hunting, dirt track racing, and touring Civil War battlefields.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Mark J. Capper (Ji) of Quakertown, Edward T. Capper (Michelle) of Berwick, Jason M. Capper of Jim Thorpe, and Thomas A. Capper of Lansdale; four grandchildren, Ian, Josh, Courtney, and Lindsay; his sister, Joanne Behm (Charles) of Feasterville; brother-in-law, Robert Billger of Howell, MI; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Billger.

Relatives and friends may call after 12:00 Noon Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
