Thomas G. Gildea, 67, of Lansdale, formerly of Springfield, husband of Margaret (Gottshalk) Gildea, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at his home.

Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Eugene and Joan (Welsh) Gildea.

Tom was a graduate of Springfield High School in 1977. He enjoyed cooking and baking, was an avid Philly sports fan, but most of all loved being called pop-pop by his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Veronica Gildea, fiancée of James Mansfield; step-daughter, Jennifer Thomas, wife of Louis; grandchildren Bobby and Brayden, and Madison, Louis, Shane, and Ryan; siblings Martin Gildea, husband of Patricia; Meg Gildea; Rosemary McConnell; Michael Gildea, husband of Davona; Jacqueline McGill, wife of James; Jeanne Kampmeyer, wife of John; Mary Silva, wife of Alfredo; and John Gildea-Walker, husband of William. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother E. Vincent Gildea Jr., sister Angela Gildea, and step-son Robert Normile.
