Valerie E. Profit

Valerie E. (Saunders) Profit, 85, of Lansdale, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Lansdale Hospital.

Born in Port Jefferson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Valerie (Yurkunas) Saunders.

Valerie was a member of BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Warrington and was a long time member of other Unitarian Universalist Fellowships in various cities. She was a proud vegetarian and was a strong supporter and activist for various liberal causes. She and Martin were also members and supporters of WHYY radio and TV broadcasting.

Surviving are daughters Kirsten Charles, Amanda Profit-Newcomb, and Nadia Profit; grandchildren Alexandra Charles, Selby Profit-Shannon, Roary Profit-Shannon, Asher Newcomb, and Jasper Newcomb.; and her significant other of over 20 years Martin Kaplan.

Services and interment in Rochester, NY will be private.
