Vasile Trifan

Vasile Trifan, 61, of Hatfield, husband of Cristina (Radu) Trifan, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Vasile was born in Bucharest, Romania on September 2nd, 1963. He was the son of the late Vasile and Gherghina Trifan.

Vasile and Cristina met in Romania in 1987 and quickly fell in love. After only 6 months of dating, they married and began their amazing love story in which they loved and cared for each other for over 37 years. In 2002, Vasile and Cristina made the brave decision to immigrate to the United States to give their children a better opportunity in life. They both quickly learned English and adapted to a new culture at almost 40 years of age.

Vasile was a very hard worker and earned his license as a land surveyor. Most recently, he worked at Penn Color in Doylestown for 3 years. Prior to that, he worked for the city of

Philadelphia for 10 years also as a surveyor. Vasile enjoyed poetry, philosophy, history, and art, especially European history and Vincent Van Gogh. He also enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, NJ in the early months of the summer, before all of the summer crowds had arrived and biking down the boardwalk early in the morning. He frequently enjoyed writing his own poetry and won contests in both the United States and Romania for his writings. He was described by his friends and family as an extremely generous, intelligent, and driven man who always put his Family's needs before his own.

Surviving with his wife is his son, Daniel Trifan, his daughter, Juliana Magyar, son-in-law Ethan Magyar, and niece Victorina Trifan. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Sorin Trifan.

Prior to Vasile Sr.'s passing, Vasile had a very close and strong relationship with his father, despite them living an ocean apart. They spoke on the phone often and discussed everything from current life events to soccer matches and the movies they were watching.

Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale with a funeral service to begin at 11:00AM.
