Virginia M. Garzón, 84, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Horacio Garzón, who died January 20, 2020.
Born October 22, 1941 in Coamo, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Maximina (Ortiz) Colón.
Mrs. Garzón was a longtime, dedicated parishioner of Holy Innocents Parish, Philadelphia. She was employed in customer service in a number of industries for many years, including Sears Roebuck and the Hosiery Corporation of America.
She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and faith.
Survivors include her children, Judy Ivonne Collins (Tom) of Delray Beach, FL, Horacio Alfredo Garzón, Jr. (Maria) of Somerset, NJ, and Juanita E. Burns (Alejandro) of Lansdale; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Christina Tosta and Aurea Guzman, both of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Colón, and sister, Ana Serrano.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Holy Innocents Parish, 1337 E. Hunting Park Ave., Philadelphia, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
