William D. Douglass, Sr.

William D. Douglass, Sr., 83, died on March 11, 2026 at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.

Born in Oreland, PA on May 7, 1942 to the late Walter D. and Madeline (Huffner) Douglass, Sr.

Bill served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was a life member of the American Legion Post 234 in Souderton as well as a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 32 in Lansdale. He was a member of the Honorary Society of the American Legion 40-8 and Trinity Lutheran Church of Lansdale.

He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America since the age of 12, achieving the rank the Eagle Scout and was awarded the Order of the Arrow. He served as the Scouting Chairman for the 9th  District for The American Legion.

Bill is survived by his wife, Holly Lynn (Bregler) Douglass; two sons, David Douglass and Andrew J.Douglass; one step-daughter, Maria D. Sine; two brothers, Karl (Kelly) Douglass, and Robert Douglass; and two sisters, Lynn E. Pribis and Patsy Douglass.

Visitation will be Monday April 6, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately for the family in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to the American Legion Post 234 of Souderton or Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
