William "Rob" Kearney

William "Rob"  Kearney, almost 86, of Lansdale passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Rob was the loving husband of Betty Marie (Anderson) Kearney for 39 years.

Born in Philadelphia on January 15, 1939, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Reynolds) Kearney.

Rob served as a medic in the U. S. Army Reserves. He had degrees from Rutgers and Drexel University. Rob worked in the computer science field for over 30 years with his latest employment at Hay Huggins.

He had many interests including collecting classical music, opera and a variety of musical genres. Rob loved spending time with his brother Don, especially doing outdoor activities. He was an avid reader who was always trying to learn more. The best place for him was being at home with his stuff.

Along with his wife, Rob is survived by his nephew, David P. (Susan) Kearney, niece Katherine (Jerry) Pudmanski, cousin, Francis (Janice) Gillen; sisters-in-law Pat (Jerry) Dewees and Diane (Jack) Smith, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother, Donald P. Kearney (Carole), sister-in-law, JoAnne and her husband Bob Leonard, in-laws, Joseph G. and Eleanore Anderson.

The family will receive friends starting 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Celebration of Life Services at 2:30 P.M.  Interment will be private.
