William C. Sampson, Sr.

William C. Sampson, Sr., 88, of Souderton and formerly of Lansdale, died Friday, November 6, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Moore) Sampson, his wife of 67 years.

Born August 13, 1938 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Carlos and Alice (Simpson) Sampson.

Mr. Sampson was employed in sales throughout his entire career and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Earlier in life, he was an avid bowler.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Judy Owens (Dan) of Lansdale, William Sampson, Jr. (Sandy) of Souderton, and Debbie Funk (Jim) of Collegeville; seven grandchildren, Chrissy, Ashley, Billy III, Nicole, Dawson, Wesley, and Kaleigh; and seven great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Grace, Olivia, Fiona, Vaeda, Remi, and Saoirse.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Simpson and John Sampson; and two sisters, Marion Carroll and Alice Favor.

Relatives and friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2026 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
