Albrecht, Wolfgang A., 89, of Lansdale, PA, on March 5, 2015 at Dock Woods Community. Born September 9, 1925 in Herne, Germany, he and his wife came to the U.S. and proudly became citizens. Wolfgang resided in Lansdale, PA, previously Sellersville, PA, Palm Coast, FL and Bogota, NJ.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Anneliese, and parents, Marie and Konstantin. Survived by his children, Patricia Karoline Gordon and husband, Bruce, Wolfgang Jr. and wife, Tina, Bernhard and wife, Joanna, Annamarie Thamm and husband, Ken; 6 grandchildren, Greta, Alyse, Claudia and Charlotte Thamm, Wolfgang III & Kyle Albrecht; and a beloved friend, Pat Richards.
Wolfgang was a Building Inspector / Construction Code Official for the State of New Jersey, in the towns of River Edge, Oradell, Elmwood Park, Hackensack, Teaneck and Bogota. He served in various positions in the Bergen-Passaic Building Inspectors Association, as well as on the Advisory Committee, DCA, State of New Jersey.
He retired in 1994, and fulfilled a life-long dream of building his own home in Palm Coast, FL.
He later moved to Sellersville, PA to be near family, and made many new friends after moving into the Dock Woods retirement community in Lansdale, PA. He resumed his love of bowling, making many friends and enjoying all the free games for his high scores. He also continued his joy of technology with the newest and latest computer gadgets.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 228 Ramapo Valley Rd., Oakland, NJ. Wolfgang was cremated per his wishes, and his and wife, Anneliese's ashes where together interned privately at Trinity Lutheran Church Columbarium, Lansdale, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Wolfgang's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446 or to Living Branches Foundation, Dock Woods/Dock Meadows Sharing Fund, 275 Dock Dr., Lansdale, PA 19446. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. www.huffandlakjer.com
