Zachariah Boywa Apela

Zachariah Boywa Apela, 48, of Hatfield, PA, died Sunday, June 28, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Loice Ogada Boywa.

Born July 7, 1977 in Nairobi, Kenya, he was a son of the late Richard and Penina (Nyawalo) Apela.

Zak was employed as a personal care assistant with Grand View Hospital for many years. He was a longtime member of Pennridge Christian Fellowship, Blooming Glen, PA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Penina Odeny Boywa, Phoebe Auma Boywa, and Sophie Atieno Boywa; three brothers, Dr. George, Rev. Alfred, and Albert; four sisters, Millicent, Mary, Neleah, and Dr. Pauline; and a large extended family.

A viewing will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Pennridge Christian Fellowship, 720 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Apela Family Cemetery, Ahero, Kenya. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
