Zobeida Maldonado

Zobeida Maldonado, 85, of Sellersville, PA passed away on  Friday, December 13, 2024 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale, PA

Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico;  daughter of Sebastian Defendini and Lucia Rios.


Zobeida was the matriarch of the family. She was known for her many talents from her cooking and baking to her seamstress fashionable skills and hairdresser. Most important to her was family, and it would be an understatement saying that she loved her boys and her family

Surviving is her son Miguel Aponte, husband of Nilsa Robles; Daughter  Jessica Cardona, wife of Juan Cardona; Sisters America Defendini and Ceihna Pulinario; and grandsons Jayden and Jorel Cardona. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Reynaldo Defendini, Enrique Defendini; and sister Maria Casado

Zobeida was a  remarkable woman who played so many important roles in the lives of those around her. She was a source of strength, love, and inspiration for our family. Her ability to be a sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and so much more speaks to her boundless love and dedication. Holding onto the memories of her many roles and the ways she touched your life is a source of comfort and strength.

"Your presence in our lives was a blessing, and you will be missed more than words can say.  You will be missed and remembered always.
