Mabel G Kirkpatrick

Mabel G. Kirkpatrick, 96, of Lansdale, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles G. Kirkpatrick, who died May 22, 1995.

Born March 24, 1916 in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Grubb) Dettery.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of St. John's UCC, Lansdale. A graduate of the former Lansdale High School, she was active with school reunions over the years. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband, especially to Hawaii, and knitting.

Survivors include her sons, Charles G. Kirkpatrick, Jr. of North Wales, and Robert Kirkpatrick and his wife, Kathryn of Pennsburg; sister-in-law, Betty Dettery of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren, John Kirpatrick, Amy Simpson and her husband, Matthew, David Kirkpatrick and his wife, Marcie, and Lee John Kirkpatrick and his wife, Georgie; and two step-grandchildren, Wendy Spachman, and Kenneth Spachman and his wife, Deborah; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Dettery and John Dettery; daughters-in-law, Pamela Kirkpatrick and Mary Faye Kirkpatrick; and a step-grandson, Robert Spachman.

Relatives and friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Jerusalem Union Cemetery.
