John P. Doogan, 82, of Lansdale, passed away August 3, 2013 at Abington Health – Lansdale Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa M. (Gunder) Doogan.
Born February 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, John was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (Bradley) Doogan.
Mr. Doogan was a graduate of St. Joseph's University and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Later, he earned his Master's degree from La Salle University.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by two sons, J. Patrick Doogan and his wife, Christine, of Broomall, and Kevin B. Doogan and his wife, Lenka, of Rydal; six beloved grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Hafner and her husband, Thomas, of Cherry Hill, NJ.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Buckley, and her husband, Bernard.
Friends are invited to greet the family 9:30 – 11 AM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, where his funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Medical Mission Sisters, 8400 Pine Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
