Robert L. Roth

Robert L. Roth, 79, of Hatfield passed way Monday, March 24, 2014 peacefully at his home. He was the husband to the late Faith (Smolens) Roth and Geraldine Roth.

Born September 17, 1934, in Leavenworth, KS, Bob was a son of the late Lawrence and Martha (Bax) Roth.

He was a proud graduate of Rice University, Houston, TX, where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering then went on to work as a licensed Professional Engineer for the former Kling Lindquist for more than 20 years.  Bob was a longtime choir member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Doylestown, and more recently at St. Maria Goretti Church, Hatfield.  He will be remembered for his many home improvement projects for numerous family members, his love of solving logic puzzles, his attentive listening and captivating conversations and most importantly his love and devotion as a father and Pop Pop.

Bob leaves behind two children, Deborah A. Chesmar and her husband, Brett, of Hatfield, Stephen M. Roth and his former wife, Dyann, of Wayne; five grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, Nathan, Julia, Amanda; three siblings, Eileen Roth of Montgomery, TX, John Roth and his wife, Carol, of Tomball, TX, and Kenneth Roth and his wife, Kathy, of Hockley, TX.

In addition to his parents and wives, Bob is preceded in death by four siblings, Lawrence Roth, Jr., Norma Payne, Charles Roth, and Deeann Badger.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family, 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield where the Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 125 South 9th St., Suite 202, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
