Deborah "Deb" Douglas, 62, of Hatfield, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 .She was the wife of the late Charles R. Douglas.
Born July 11, 1953, in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of Kermit Nelson (Andrya), of Lansdale, and the late Mary C. (Gemi) Nelson.
Deb was a financial service representative for Penn Liberty Bank, retiring in 2015.
She was a philanthropic individual who gave her time to various organizations, including Manna on Main St. She was considered a surrogate mother to all who knew her, and put everybody ahead of herself as a very selfless person. Deb took great enjoyment in planting and caring for her gardens. Above all else she loved her grandchildren and spending any free time she had with them.
Along with her father other survivors include two sons, Bryan S. Douglas (Stephanie), of Harleysville, and Justin S. Douglas, of Hatfield; brothers, Steve K. Nelson (Lisa), of Lansdale, and Robert M. Gemi (Debbie Cappola), of Skippack; grandchildren, Lauren, Payton ,Lindsey, Savayna, Dominique, and Gavin.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Douglas.
There will be a time to receive relatives and friends starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with Celebration of Life Services to include a time to share, at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
