Edward D. Lynch

Edward D. Lynch, 92, beloved husband of Theresa K. (nee Burke) Lynch, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the home of his daughter in North Wales, PA. Born on May 3, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Edward J. and the late Margaret Mary (nee McNulty) Lynch.

He was a graduate of Dobbins High School and he had also attended Penn State University. Edward was a decorated United States Marine Corps Veteran who proudly and honorably served his country during World War II, and he was the recipient of the Purple Heart from wounds sustained in battle. He had been employed for many years as a Tool Inspector with the Moore Products Company in Spring House prior to his retirement, and he was also a parishioner at Saint Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Lansdale, PA. Edward was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Flaherty Council #3128 and a life member of the VFW Post #676, both of Glenside, PA. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working and traveling. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, friend, and a true American patriot.

Edward is also survived by his loving children, Patricia A. Dougherty (Steve), of Princeton, NJ, Kathleen Mary Owoc (the Late Anthony), of North Wales, PA, and Janet M. DePaul (James), of Souderton, PA, his nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, the late Thomas Lynch.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday morning, July 18, 2016 from 9:30 -11:15 a.m. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with the Funeral Mass to follow 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the chapel at St. Mary Center, 701 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA 18914.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011 which would be deeply appreciated by his family.
