Ann Donna Staub

January 27, 1932 — July 13, 2017

Ann Staub was born January 27, 1932 in Scranton, PA to Robert and Kathleen Dolphin. She graduated West Catholic High School in Philadelphia and Immaculata College where she majored in Home Economics and won numerous awards for her fashion designs.

At age 14, Ann met her future husband William Staub, whom she married in 1953. They lived in Monterey, CA and Honolulu, HI before settling in the Philadelphia area. They raised four children in Malvern and later Berwyn.

Ann taught kindergarten and first grade in the Great Valley School District for 27 years. During this time she remained connected to her alma mater, serving on the board of the Immaculata Alumni Association. After retiring from teaching, she served as an adjunct professor at Immaculata, supervising and evaluating student teachers. She was active in her chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, a teacher's association, where she worked tirelessly for numerous charitable causes and met many of her dearest friends.

Ann loved to gather family and friends around her. She and her husband Bill owned a house in Sea Isle that they generously shared with numerous friends and family members over the years, and Ann was famous for her annual 4th of July and Christmas parties.

She will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Her son William Staub Jr. preceded her in death. Ann is survived by her husband William, her children Christopher (Teri) Staub, Peter (Justine) Staub, Kathleen (Bill) Melvin, and her son Bill's wife, Cheri Staub. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Ann's life will be held on July 22nd at Brittany Pointe Estates, 1001 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale. Visitation begins at 2pm followed by a service at 2:45pm. Interment will be held privately.
