Albertina B. Rola

Albertina B. (Barcelos) Rola, 98, of Ambler, wife of the late Domingos G. Rola, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Barcelos, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Augusto and Ana (Bastos) Barcelos.

Albertina was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Ambler but attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She worked as a seamstress, loved to sing, enjoyed being outside in her garden and was a talented poet.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her passion, devotion and integrity to those she loved was unconditional and unwavering.  Her infectious smile and laugh will live on forever.  She will be truly missed.

Surviving are children Manuel Rola, Carlos Gonçalves, husband of Dalila, Domingos Rola, husband of Maria, Rui Rola, husband of Anabela, Candida Craveiro, wife of Antonio, and Maria Helena Rola, companion of Danny; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother Antonio Barcelos and a great grandchild Caetano Craveiro.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2 from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Albertina's home country of Portugal at a later date.
