Carol Newsome

Carol Newsome died peacefully at the age of 87 on October 28, 2023.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, and had many wonderful friendships throughout her life.

Carol was born in Sellersville, PA and was raised in the Kulpsville area and went to J. Henry Specht School in Kulpsville, PA.  Carol was a woman of faith and loved God.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Lansdale PA for 56 years and served faithfully in the nursery and other church ministries.  She greatly enjoyed her women's bible study group and formed a special bond with them.  Carol was known for her kind heart to whomever she came in contact with and was a godly example to her family and friends.

Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 4 daughters and grandchildren. Her first marriage was to William Kuenstner in November, 1955, with whom she had three daughters. In 1970, she married Sylvester Newsome, with whom she had one daughter.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Newsome, her parents, Edith Lovatt and Tyson Roy Myers, sister Joan Stockert and brother Roy Myers.  Carol is survived by her 4 daughters, Terry Thomas of the Villages FL (Husband: David Thomas); Linda Moyer of Myerstown PA (Husband: Gary Moyer); Lisa Eachus of the Villages FL (Husband: Michael Eachus) and Elisabeth Musselman of Harleysville PA (Husband: Doug Musselman).  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren (Jeremy, Kristin, Kami, Tanya, Christina, Crystal, Michael, Ryan, Chloe, Andrew and Cassidy) and 11 great grandchildren (Tyler, Riley, Ariana, Madison, Laylana, RJ, Hunter, Tessa, Everly, Jordan and Raelynn)

A memorial celebration will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale PA 19446 on November 9, 2023.  Visitors will be welcomed from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm with a memorial service following at 6:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, contributions in Carol's memory may be made to the Calvary Baptist School of Lansdale, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale PA 19446.
