Durrell N. Delp

Durrell N. Delp, 97, of Lansdale, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Schwager) Delp, his wife of 67 years, who died August 28, 2015.

Born September 4, 1923 in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Durrell and Catherine (Nice) Delp.

Mr. Delp was employed as a mechanic and bus driver with his family's business, the former Delp's Charter Service, Hatfield, for many years.  He later worked at Lansdale Transportation and North Penn Transfer.  Durrell was also a longtime member of Grace Mennonite Church, Lansdale.

Survivors include his children, Donald D. Delp (Diana) of Quakertown, Beverly A. Beck (Steven) of Hatfield, Barbara J. Kolb (Barry) of Harleysville, and Shirley N. Powis (Mark) of Telford; seven grandchildren; Heather, Alison, Jeffrey, Caleb, Leah, Cody and Janine,  and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Beck; and two brothers, Richard and Donald.

Relatives and friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be private in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Hatfield.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mr. Delp's memory to Camp Men-O-Lan, c/o Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Ave, Lansdale PA 19446
