Gertrude A. Yocum

Gertrude "Trudy" (Kunz) Yocum, of Lansdale, PA passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.  She was the loving wife of the late E. Richard Yocum.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Jones Sr.

Trudy was born June 24, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of Charles E. and Gertrude E. Kunz.

Her primary occupation was raising her two sons.  Trudy also enjoyed being a  Teacher's Aide Kindergarten at Inglewood Elementary School in Lansdale.  She later became a department manager for USF&G Insurance.  She was an avid reader and also enjoyed Phillies baseball and her many dogs.

She is survived by her sons, William Jones Jr (Claire) and James Jones (Lisa), her step-daughter, Charyl Suzuki (Lester), her grandchildren, Matthew, Sierra, Andrew, and Joshua, and her brother, Charles E. Kunz, Jr.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Mabel Gewiss, Bruce Kunz and her step-daughter, Deborah Traynor.

Visitation will be held 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA.  Interment will be held privately.
