Gysgt. David J. Takala, U.S.M.C. (Ret.)

Gunnery Sergeant David J. Takala, United States Marine Corps (Retired), 57, of Lansdale, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 8, 2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne S. (nee Saethre) Takala who passed away in 2018. Born June 25, 1962 in Crystal Falls, MI he was the son of Ruby (nee Zie) Takala and Mathew Takala.

Gunnery Sergeant Takala was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who proudly, honorably, and faithfully served his country for over twenty years before his retirement from the Marine Corps in 2002. After his retirement from active duty military service he had been employed as a Service Manager in the Truck Leasing industry. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and a proud United States Marine.

He is survived by his daughters, Alisa Takala and Kamilla Takala, his sister, Mary Dalpra, and his brothers, Greg Takala and Joseph Takala.

A Graveside Funeral Service and Inurnment with Full Military Funeral Honors will be held at a later date at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls, MI.
