Joanna Stunkard

Joanna M. (Fields) Stunkard, 94, of Lansdale, wife of the late Gerald M. Stunkard, unexpectedly entered, into eternal rest on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.

Born in Clear Ridge, PA, Joanna was the oldest daughter of the late John D. and Lila (Smith) Fields.  She was raised on the family farm surrounded by her favorite animals, especially her dog and cherished horse, Black Beauty.

Joanna enjoyed many travels throughout the continental US, Alaska, and Canada in her custom RV.  She was an avid gardener, accomplished seamstress, needlepoint expert, and prolific artist.

Joanna is survived by her beloved son Dr. John G. Stunkard, husband of Marcia, four grandchildren: Dara Lynne, Kimberly, Jonathan and Kristen, and 11 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her two sisters, Mary Hall and Karen Calhoun.

Services and entombment will be private.
