Mary L. O'Brien

Mary L. O'Brien, 95, of Lansdale, died Tuesday, May 11, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Thomas J. O'Brien, who died December 22, 1968.

Born September 26, 1925 in Nesquehoning, PA, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Joann (Yanatell) Sparich.

Early in life, Mrs. O'Brien was employed as a secretary with the former Midvale-Heppenstall Steel Company.  Later, she worked as the assistant to the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, retiring in 1995.  Upon retirement, she enjoyed working as a courtroom deputy at Montgomery County Courthouse until the age of 89.

Mary loved to travel, especially to Europe and Asia.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen M. Glickman and her husband, Jay Glickman, of Lansdale; and sister, Anne Sparich of Washington, DC.

She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be private in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
