Pauline Schaps,100, of Lansdale, PA died quietly in her sleep Thursday May 26, 2022. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Frank Schaps who served as Inspector in The US Navy. She was also preceded in death by her son, Arthur Robin Jr, his daughter Eva, and her first husband Arthur Robin, who served in the US Navy.
While escaping the Bolsheviks' invasion of their home in the Ukraine, Pauline was born at sea in the hull of a cargo vessel to parents Mary and Alexander Nodich. Pauline was a first generation American, and eventual English translator for her parents.
Pauline was a devout Catholic, passionate bingo player, and a detailed story teller. She worked as a team leader at Solid State Scientific in the early 70s, but was most proud of her work as a private nurse in Fort Washington earlier in her life.
Pauline was the last of six siblings to enter the kingdom of heaven, and is survived by her beloved daughter Annette Robin, and her grandchildren Shawn Gilmartin, Mathew Robin, and Kimberly Snyder, as well as her great grandchildren Tanner, Charles, Grace, Christy, Phillip and Meghan, three great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Before her passing, Pauline asked that the funeral be a casual event. Friends and family are invited to attend her graveside service at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Cemetery 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 am.
