Sarah E. Hoagland

Sarah E. (nee Chatterton) Hoagland, 89, of Hatfield, PA passed away on April 19, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. Born December 6, 1928 in Brattleboro, Vermont she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and the late Helen F. (nee Boody) Chatterton.

She was a 1946 graduate of Green Mountain Junior College in Poultney, Vermont where she obtained her Associate of Arts Degree. Sarah had been employed for many years as a Secretary in the Electrical Industry, having worked for General Electric in Schenectady, NY,  the General Electric Supply Company in El Paso, TX, and also Neiman-Marcus in Dallas, TX. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale, and most recently was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lansdale. Sarah will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Sarah is survived by her children, Michael D. Sharadin (Katherine), of Redmond, WA, Timothy A. Sharadin (Amy), of Limerick, Daniel L. Sharadin (Danna), of Plymouth Meeting, and Scott T. Sharadin (Cheryl), of Royersford, and her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday afternoon, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Dock Meadows (also known as The Willows of Living Branches), 2343 Bethlehem Pike, Hatfield, PA 19440 where a time to greet the family will be held immediately after her Memorial Service.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted, and that those desiring to do so may make a memorial contribution in her name to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010, and which would be deeply appreciated by her family.
