Susan L. Ulmer

Susan L. Ulmer, 70, of Hatfield, passed into the Lord's hands on Monday, June 25, 2018 comforted by her family.  She was the wife of Owen F. Ulmer.

A native of New Jersey, Sue graduated from Frankford Hospital School of Nursing.  In addition to being a Registered Nurse, she was a licensed nursing home administrator (NHA) having served in that position at several area nursing homes.  She retired from Quakertown Center in 2011.

In her spare time, Sue enjoyed gardening, painting, and traveling.  She and her husband had visited all 50 states and several foreign countries.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons and beloved daughters-in-law, David O. Ulmer (Megan) of Montgomery Township, and Richard J. Ulmer (Jessica) of Vienna, VA; and her precious grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob, Bridget, Henry, and Emmet.  She is also survived by a brother, James D. Hoar of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Friedman.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
